Baby Pramsuits for Every Cold Weather Adventure
At Cozy Crew Club, we believe winter shouldn't keep babies indoors — and it doesn't have to. Our baby pramsuit collection is designed to give parents the confidence to get outside with their little ones whatever the weather, knowing their baby is wrapped in genuine warmth, genuine safety, and something that will make every single person they pass want to stop and look.
Because that's the thing about a great pramsuit. It isn't just about keeping your baby warm — though it absolutely does that. It's about the walk to the coffee shop where three different people stop to say something. It's about the park on a grey Tuesday that becomes a beautiful morning because your baby is bundled into something so wonderful it makes the whole world a slightly better place. It's about the photographs that happen because you couldn't not take them, in the lighting that only exists on cold mornings when the world is crisp and quiet and your baby looks like the most perfect thing that has ever existed.
Our pramsuit range covers every cold weather need across that first precious winter — from lightweight fleece baby rompers for the milder autumn days when just a little extra warmth is needed, to our luxuriously padded baby bear puffer suits for the deep of winter when the temperature really drops, to our beautifully detailed knitted hooded bear playsuits and fur bear pramsuits that bring character and charm alongside genuine warmth. And for those days when you want the complete picture, our Bear 3 Piece Winter Sets give you everything in one perfectly coordinated package.
Every pramsuit in our collection is sized from 0–6 months through to 18–24 months — so whether you're dressing a brand new newborn for their very first winter, or a confident almost-toddler who has strong opinions about everything except how cold it is outside, Cozy Crew Club has the pramsuit that fits, warms, and makes everyone stop and smile.
Bear Puffer Suits — The Warmest, Most Photographed Baby Outfit of Winter
If there is one baby outfit that earns more comments, more stopped-pram moments, and more photographs than any other during winter, it is a bear puffer suit. And at Cozy Crew Club, our Bear Puffer Suits are the ones parents choose again and again — because they combine the maximum warmth of padded puffer construction with the maximum charm of our signature bear design.
Our baby bear puffer suits are constructed with a padded, quilted outer that traps warmth close to your baby's body while remaining lightweight enough not to restrict movement or create the overheating that bulkier suits can cause. The signature bear hood — with its distinctive bear ears that frame your baby's face perfectly — is the detail that stops everyone in their tracks and the reason our puffer suits are among the most shared baby outfits on social media every winter.
Available in cream and brown colourways that coordinate beautifully with the rest of your Cozy Crew Club wardrobe — and with our Bear 23 Puffer Suit and Friendly Bear Puffer Suit offering seasonal updates to the classic design — our puffer suit range gives you warmth, personality, and the photograph that parents talk about for years. The one where your baby was in the pram on a cold morning, bundled into their bear suit, and looked like the most perfect thing you'd ever seen.
Knitted Bear Hooded Playsuits — Cosy Character From Head to Toe
For the days when the temperature calls for warmth but not full puffer-suit protection, our knitted bear hooded playsuits are the answer — beautifully crafted, characterful, and genuinely cosy in a way that makes every indoor and outdoor moment feel considered and special.
Our knitted hooded playsuits feature our signature bear ear hoods in a soft knit construction that provides gentle warmth without the bulk of a puffer suit — perfect for layering over a sleepsuit or bodysuit on cooler days, for indoor occasions where you want something beautiful and warm without overheating, or for those transitional autumn and spring days when the temperature is unpredictable and you need something that works beautifully as a mid-layer.
Our Ultimate Bear Knitted Hooded Playsuit, Pointy Bear Knitted Hooded Playsuit, and Love Fur Bear Knitted Hooded Pramsuit each bring their own character to the collection — different ear styles, different textures, different details — but all sharing the same beautifully soft construction, the same signature bear identity, and the same ability to make your baby look completely, impossibly adorable in every single photograph.
Available in cream, brown, and maroon colourways. Loved by parents who want something that looks as beautiful in the soft afternoon light of the living room as it does on a crisp morning in the park.
Fur Bear Pramsuits — Luxury Warmth With Unmistakable Character
Our Fur Bear Knitted Hooded Pramsuits and Winter Fur Bear Hooded Pramsuits take everything parents love about our bear collection and add the textural luxury of fur detailing — creating a pramsuit that is tactile, warm, distinctive, and completely impossible to ignore.
The fur trim and detailing that runs through our fur bear range gives each suit a depth and richness that knitted and puffer styles alone can't match. It catches the light differently. It feels different to touch — which matters enormously to babies who are experiencing every texture for the first time, and to the endless stream of people who will want to stroke your baby's suit when you're out and about.
Our Fur Bear Winter Coat extends this luxury fur-detailed aesthetic into a more structured outer layer — perfect for wearing over baby tracksuits or knit sets on the coldest days, as a beautiful outerwear piece that completes any Cozy Crew Club winter wardrobe. Available in maroon brown, brown, and cream — three colourways that work beautifully together and coordinate effortlessly with every other piece in our collection.
The Bear 3 Piece Winter Set — Complete Winter Warmth in One
For parents who want the full Cozy Crew Club bear experience without the guesswork of building a coordinated winter outfit from scratch, our Bear 3 Piece Winter Set brings everything together in one perfectly curated package.
Each set includes a beautifully soft bodysuit, coordinating leggings, and our signature bear hat — everything your baby needs for a complete, warm, coordinated winter look from the very first layer outwards. The bodysuit provides a soft, skin-kind base layer directly against your baby's skin. The leggings add warmth and coverage for active little legs. And the bear hat — with its signature bear ear detailing — ties the whole look together with that unmistakable Cozy Crew Club character.
The 3 Piece Winter Set is one of our most popular gift choices for the simple reason that it gives new parents everything they need for a complete winter outfit without any of the effort of sourcing pieces separately. Presented in our full branded gift packaging with ribbon, tissue paper, and a handwritten card, it arrives as a complete, beautiful, ready-to-use winter wardrobe gift that any new parent will reach for immediately and gratefully. The perfect newborn winter gift, baby shower present for a winter baby, or new arrival gift for a family welcoming their little one into the colder months.
Pramsuits FAQ
What Is a Baby Pramsuit?
A baby pramsuit is a cosy, all-in-one outer layer designed to keep your baby warm during outdoor adventures — in the pram, the pushchair, or the carrier. A pramsuit is a soft, cosy all-in-one, designed to be layered over your baby's clothes to keep them warm when you're going from A to B — thanks to features like thermal linings, hoods, and fold-over cuffs and mittens, you can be safe in the knowledge that your little one will be snug inside their pram or stroller.
Think of it as your baby's coat — but better. Unlike a regular coat, a pramsuit covers everything from arms to legs to feet in one warm, complete layer. Unlike a blanket, it can't be kicked off, fall out of the pram, or get left behind in a café. It goes on over whatever your baby is already wearing, zips up in seconds, and keeps them consistently warm however long you're outside.
At Cozy Crew Club, our pramsuits come with the added advantage of being genuinely beautiful — our signature bear ear hoods, fur detailing, and puffer suit construction turn a practical winter essential into the most photographed outfit your baby will own all seaso
What Is the Difference Between a Pramsuit and a Snowsuit?
Parents use these terms interchangeably all the time — but there is a practical difference worth knowing.
A pramsuit is a cosy, padded one-piece designed specifically for use in prams or strollers — unlike a snowsuit, which is generally bulkier and designed for active play in the snow. Pramsuits offer a softer, less restrictive fit, perfect for keeping babies warm while they're sitting or napping in their pram. They're lighter and more flexible, making them ideal for everyday use, from walks in the park to quick trips to the shop.
In practice: a pramsuit is your everyday winter essential for regular outdoor life with a baby — walks, errands, park visits, café trips. A snowsuit is for more extreme cold or active outdoor play. For most UK winters and most daily family life, a pramsuit is exactly what you need — and Cozy Crew Club's range of bear puffer suits, knitted hooded playsuits, and fur bear pramsuits cover every temperature and every occasion across that spectrum beautifully.
Can My Baby Wear a Pramsuit in a Car Seat?
This is one of the most important safety questions around pramsuits and the honest answer is that bulky, padded pramsuits and puffer suits should not be worn in a car seat.
As a general rule, bulky clothing including winter coats and snowsuits should not be worn underneath the harness of a car seat. In a car crash, fluffy padding immediately flattens out from the force, leaving extra space under the harness — a child can then slip through the straps and be thrown from the seat.
The safe approach is to remove your baby's pramsuit before placing them in the car seat, dress them in thin layers that allow the straps to fasten snugly against their body, and use a blanket draped over the straps for warmth in the car. Once you arrive at your destination, the pramsuit goes back on before heading outside.
Our knitted hooded playsuits and lighter fleece styles are less bulky than our puffer suits, but the golden rule applies to all padded outer garments — straps must fit snugly against your baby's body. When in doubt, perform the two-finger test: if you can fit more than two fingers between the harness and your baby's chest, the straps aren't tight enough and the outer layer needs to come off.
What Should My Baby Wear Underneath a Pramsuit?
The right layers under a pramsuit depend on how cold it is outside — and getting this right is the key to keeping your baby comfortable rather than either too cold or dangerously overheated.
For crisp autumn days, layer a pramsuit over an everyday babygrow or vest and leggings. When the chill of winter sets in, add thermals, knitwear, warm socks, mittens, and a hat under a thicker hooded pramsuit.
As a practical guide: in mild autumn weather (10–15°C), a bodysuit and sleepsuit under our knitted hooded playsuit is usually plenty. In cooler weather (5–10°C), add a long-sleeve bodysuit and a knit cardigan underneath. In cold winter weather (below 5°C), layer a vest, sleepsuit, and knit jumper under our bear puffer suit for maximum warmth.
Always check your baby's temperature by feeling the back of their neck or their chest — not their hands or feet, which are naturally cooler. Warm and comfortable means the layers are right. Hot or sweaty means remove a layer, even if it's cold outside.
How Do I Know If My Baby Is Too Hot or Too Cold in Their Pramsuit?
This is one of the most common worries for new parents in winter — and the reassuring answer is that your baby will give you clear signals once you know what to look for.
The most reliable temperature check is the back of the neck or chest test — place your hand on your baby's chest or the back of their neck under their clothing. If it feels warm and comfortable, they're at the right temperature. If it feels hot or sweaty, they're too warm and need a layer removed even if the air outside is cold. If it feels cool, add a layer.
Never rely on your baby's hands or feet as a temperature guide — hands and feet will always feel cooler than the rest of their body and are not a reliable indicator of their core temperature.
Overheating is a more common risk than getting cold — babies can't regulate their own temperature effectively, and a warm pramsuit combined with a warm pram, a heated shop, and a warm car can add up quickly. Our Cozy Crew Club pramsuits are designed with breathable construction to help prevent this — but the neck check is always your best guide, whatever your baby is wearing.
What Ages Do Cozy Crew Club Pramsuits Come In?
Our pramsuit collection is sized from 0–6 months through to 18–24 months — covering every stage from the very first winter walks with a brand new newborn all the way through to the second winter with a confident and opinionated almost-toddler.
For newborns and young babies (0–6 months), our knitted hooded playsuits and bear fleece rompers are particularly popular — soft, warm, and with the gentle coverage that the smallest babies need without the bulk of a full puffer suit.
For older babies (6–18 months) who are sitting up in the pushchair and exploring more of the world, our bear puffer suits and fur bear hooded pramsuits provide the more substantial warmth that active, aware babies need for longer outdoor adventures.
For almost-toddlers (12–24 months) who are pulling to stand, cruising, and beginning to walk, our pramsuits are designed with the freedom of movement their increasingly active bodies need — warm enough to go anywhere, practical enough to get on and off quickly when you're in and out of warm buildings.
Are Cozy Crew Club Pramsuits Good as Baby Shower or New Baby Gifts?
Genuinely one of the best baby gifts you can give for a winter baby — and here's exactly why parents consistently tell us our pramsuits are among the most loved and most useful presents they received.
Because pramsuits tend to be a more premium baby item, they make a thoughtful and useful gift for new parents — whether for a baby shower or as a welcome-home present, pramsuits are a wonderful way to help new parents feel prepared for every adventure with their bundle of joy. Emile et Rose
What makes Cozy Crew Club pramsuits particularly special as gifts is that they're beautiful as well as practical. Our bear ear designs, fur detailing, and puffer suit construction make them the kind of gift that gets opened and immediately photographed — not just tried on. They're the presents that get worn to every outdoor occasion that first winter and talked about every time those photographs come up years later.
For a baby shower gift, our Bear 3 Piece Winter Sets — bodysuit, leggings, and bear hat — are a complete, coordinated, beautifully presented gift that gives a new parent everything they need for a full winter outfit in one box. Presented in our full branded gift packaging with ribbon, tissue paper, and a handwritten card, a Cozy Crew Club winter set arrives ready to give and ready to love. 🐻❄️
Why Does My Baby Need a Pramsuit When I Have a Footmuff?
A great question — and the honest answer is that a footmuff and a pramsuit actually work best together rather than as alternatives to each other.
A footmuff attaches to the pram or pushchair and provides warmth from the outside — it's brilliant for long walks and cold weather because it insulates the whole pram environment. But it has limitations: it doesn't come with you when you take your baby out of the pram, it can't be used in a carrier or sling, and when you go into a warm shop or café, your baby is suddenly without any outer layer at all once they're lifted out.
A pramsuit travels with your baby everywhere — in the pram, in your arms, in the carrier for short carrying periods, and during the outdoor transitions between car, pram, and building that make up the reality of daily life with a baby in winter. Pramsuits are a great alternative to blankets as they hug your baby's arms and legs comfortably, allow for freedom of movement, and can't be kicked off or lost. Childrensalon
The ideal winter setup: a Cozy Crew Club pramsuit on your baby for consistent warmth wherever they are, a footmuff or blanket in the pram for added insulation on longer outdoor trips, and the knowledge that you can pop them back into their warm bear suit the moment you step outside — without any lost blankets, cold toes, or frantic searching in the pram basket. 🧸
